Fast Forward Accelerator

The Fast Forward mission is to support the growth and scale of tech nonprofits. As the flagship Fast Forward product, the accelerator is where the tech and nonprofit universes converge and innovate. The accelerator program provides training and resources relevant to the challenges often exclusively faced by tech nonprofit entrepreneurs.

Fast Forward applicants each receive a $25,000 philanthropic grant and have the opportunity to foster rapport in a cohort with 9 other tech nonprofits, interact with highly skilled mentors, be coached by leaders in tech, and make connections with key people who can help grow businesses. The program focuses on capital & fundraising strategies, superior content, nonprofit customer life cycles, and community support. The curriculum lasts for 4 months with weekly meetings from 9 AM to 1 PM PT on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional coaching sessions distributed throughout the week, and culminates with an investor demo day. 

To date, Fast Forward has accelerated 60 tech nonprofits who have positively impacted 88 million lives and raised over $275 million in funding post-program. Fast Forward is searching for tech nonprofits developing innovative companies to address problems for which there is no current market solution. Tech nonprofits exhibit all of the normal startup characteristics – a team of scrappy, innovative, hard-working entrepreneurs building tech products – but they have formed around a nonprofit structure with the goal of having a lasting impact. There are more than 500 tech nonprofits in existence today.
