Open Water Accelerator

The Open Water Accelerator takes a revolutionary approach to the traditional accelerator/ incubator model with the goal of helping early stage startups grow faster. Open Water believes the key to unlocking outsized growth for a software company is talent, not capital. As a result, startups are provided a team of  approximately five engineers, designers, and growth hackers to each accepted startup and covers their salaries for 3 months. 

The accelerator interviews the most promising startups and narrows down the choices to 20 companies while also recruiting and screening valuable talent in engineers, design, product development, management and growth hacking. Invitees then begin their own interview process from the curated talent pool in order to select their team. After 12 weeks, the cohort presents to investors during a virtual demo day. Once the program is complete, graduating startups are encouraged to hire the team full-time. 

Open Water is searching for startups that have raised between $50K and $750K in Angel or Pre-Seed rounds. Occasionally, founders in the ideation phase are admitted.
